After a brief test, Edge Game Assist has now been officially opened to all users and has been launched on the stable channel.

When playing games, players often need to find or view certain information, but the traditional Alt+Tab switching window method will interrupt the game experience.

Edge Game Assist directly opens the browser widget through the Win+G shortcut key, solving this pain point. Players can quickly access web pages without switching windows, greatly improving the convenience of the game.

Initially, Edge Game Assist required the user Edge 132 beta and set it as the default browser. Now, the feature is online in the stable channel and no longer forces users to change the default browser.

Users can continue to use Chrome, Firefox or other browsers, while enjoying the convenient game bar browser function brought by Game Assist.

However, the function currently needs to be manually installed by the user, and the installation steps are as follows:

Visit edge://settings/help to check to make sure you are using the latest version of Microsoft Edge.

Go to Settings > Appearance > Game Assist.

Click "Install".

Press Win+G to open the game bar.

Click Widgets > Game Assist.
