"Star Blade" developers give year-end bonus: one PS5 Pro per person + a bonus of 25,000 yuan

Shift Up, a developer of Star Blade, recently held an event in Seoul, South Korea, to give PS5 Pro and year-end bonuses to about 300 employees of the company (5 million won each, equivalent to about RMB 25,000).

A Shift Up representative told Korean media Naver that the move was intended to encourage the company's existing talents.

In the summer of 2024, Shift Up successfully completed the initial public offering (IPO) of South Korea's largest video game company in three years, raising 435 billion won (US$320 million) on its first day of listing.Shift Up said it plans to use the proceeds from its IPO to diversify its gaming portfolio.

Shift Up was founded in 2013. The company's largest shareholder is Kim Taehyung, followed by Tencent.

"Star Blade" was launched on Sony's PS5 platform last year, with global sales of more than 1 million units.This work is planned to be launched on the PC platform in 2025.
