Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin's Creed: Shadow will provide players with the option to enable a certain one-hit kill.

Let’s first learn some background information. In the previous series of Assassin’s Creed: Origins, if you successfully sneak behind or above an enemy target without being discovered and then assassinated, that target will be killed. However, as this series gradually gets rid of its stealth action game roots and incorporates more role-playing game elements, it is no longer guaranteed to kill in one blow. Instead, the assassination result depends on your level, attributes, and the enemy's health bar.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is the first game in the series to allow players to turn on the sure-fire kill option in the settings menu. Ubisoft has now confirmed that Assassin's Creed Shadow will have the same function.

"You can turn on the 'One-Strike Kill' feature in the game options, which allows you to assassinate all enemies, regardless of their health bar," Ubisoft wrote in a new article about Assassin's Creed: Shadow's game progress.

By default, the amount of damage you deal to enemies in Assassin's Creed Shadow will depend on your equipment level and your skills and abilities. You can also judge whether your assassination attempt will be successful by the color of the enemy's health bar. White means that the assassination will definitely be completed, yellow means that it will cause "a certain damage", and red means that the attack will "fail".
