Game Director confirms that the sales of "Ao Ri" series have exceeded 15 million units

Thomas Mahler, CEO and game director of Moon Studios, a developer of the "Ao Ri" series and "Malicious" in the past, recently shared that the studio has repurchased the "Malicious" distribution rights.He also shared that the total sales of the two works in the "Ao Ri" series have exceeded 15 million.

On social media he wrote: "The Ori series has sold 15 million copies at the moment. It's pretty good for a galaxy-like game, and when we started making it, we were told that the genre was dead. So (I think) thanks to all who have supported us so far - thanks so much!"

The studio has released two works, "Ori and the Dark Forest" and "Ori and the Will of Fireflies" in 2015 and 2020.Mahler shared in March last year that Dark Forest sold around 10 million copies.
