Recently, the "Bod Village" Mod of "Starde Valley" produced by the Chinese Mod author XunHe1145 received a DMCA deletion notice from the copyright owner Wisszhi Company, which has resulted in the mod being removed from the Nexus website.The "Bodd Village" Mod has introduced a large amount of new content to "Stardeau Valley", including 20 new NPCs, new locations, new items, etc., all of which are from "Bodd Gate 3".

It is reported that a Nexus website spokesperson confirmed that this was true to foreign media PC Gamer. Wizard issued a DMCA removal notice and removed the "Bodd Village" Mod. The spokesperson said: "This is a very creative Stardew Valley cross-border work, and the community loves it very much. I hope it is just Wizard's negligence. They often use external agencies to track down the illegal content, and they will change their decisions. Pray for Boodd Village."

It also received praise from Larion CEO Swen Vincke when the Bode Village Mod was released earlier this month, and after the Bode Village Mod was removed, Swen Vincke commented on the matter again, expressing support for the Mod while acknowledging that IP protection is tricky.

However, it seems that the Nexus website spokesperson was right, and Wizards later said in a statement to PC Gamer that the DMCA removal notice was issued incorrectly: "The DMCA removal notice in Bode Village was issued incorrectly - we apologize for that. We are fixing this issue so that fans and the Stardew Valley community can continue to enjoy this great mod!"

As of now, the Nexus website page of the "Bod Village" Mod in Stardew Valley is still displayed as "Accredited" (from 10:03 am on March 29, 2025).
