Recently, former Space Ape employees jointly established Offroad Games. Two of Space Ape's former projects, Chrome Valley Customs and Fastlane: Road to Revenge, are both the work of the staff team, although the dozen-person startup is still developing Space Ape's cancelled racing game, Go Race: Super Karts, and another unannounced car-themed IP.

In an interview with PocketGamer, they said CEO Geoffrey Gilles (formerly general manager of Chrome Valley Customs) formed a team of seven full-time employees and three third-party employees, along with CTO Christopher Jubb, chief game designer Vera Zaitceva, chief artist Hyo Chan and financial director Cameron Simon.Gilles hopes to expand the team to 15 people, although Offroad has not received funding so far from Space Ape's parent company Supercell or elsewhere.

"I always wanted to be an entrepreneur and now have the opportunity to run successful online games," Gilles told PocketGamer, who made “friendship, speed and free thinking” the core philosophy of the new work. "I saw this opportunity, I could take over and run both games at the same time, and rehire some people and then really achieve the exciting goals of our company. This is what really touches me and what I think is the best way to develop games."

Supercell already owns a 62% stake in Space Ape and acquired the London-based studio in November last year, increasing its investment in Space Ape.In January this year, Space Ape set up a new studio NextBeat, but laid off 30 employees in February 2025.
