The Last Survivor Season 2 producers hint at the mystery of this season

Neil Druckman, the creator and drama director of The Last Survivor, praised star Bella Ramsey, also gave hints about the "mystery" of season two.

When asked about Bella Ramsey’s performance of 19-year-old Ellie in Season 2, Druckman said: “I mean, Bella is a very good actor, not only are they getting older, but they have experienced so much trauma in Season 1. There’s so much going on in the five-year interval, and that’s the mystery of this season – what happened in those five years. When you watch Bella’s performance, you can see this maturity in their eyes. It seems simple, but it’s hard to do, and few actors can perform as well as they do.”

The Last Survivor Season 2, set five years after those rather tragic events in Season 1, tells the gradual growth of young Ellie (played by Ramsey) who is entering adulthood – though we don’t know if she knows what Joel did in the Season 1 finale.If you haven't seen the plot yet, we won't spoil it, but that's a pretty unforgivable decision - we can only imagine how much pressure this puts on the relationship between Joel and Ellie.

We don't know if the new season will tell us what happened in those five years through a narration or flashback, but from the trailer, it seems to be tense and full of twists and turns for everyone.
