As FromSoftware's "Eldon Farring: The Night Land" has pushed soul games toward a multiplayer experience, Choi Ji-won, director of "Pinocchio's Lies", said that his studio did not feel any pressure on the transformation to the online multiplayer field.

In an interview during the 2025 Game Developers Conference (GDC), Choi Ji-won talked about how trial plays Elden Fargo: The Night Landing prompted Korean gaming company Neowiz to work hard to make the upcoming Overture extension as best as possible.This feeling stems from seeing FromSoftware step out of its comfort zone and try to provide a more traditional multiplayer experience.
