The developers of Iron Fist 8 will release an "emergency patch" later this month in response to players' strong dissatisfaction with the game's balanced changes in the second season.

Even before the second season update, "Iron Fist 8" was criticized by players for its overly radical game style and lack of more technical elements from the previous work.In the latest patch notes for updates released earlier this week, Bandai Namco acknowledged the widespread "one-sided battle situation" in the game and detailed a series of changes designed to rebalance the game.

However, the majority of feedback from the player community on these changes is negative, prompting the official to launch an "emergency patch" and other fixes.

This patch, scheduled to be released in mid-to-late April, will specifically adjust the two moves of Paul and Jack-8, both of which have unexpected and unbreakable effects.

A post on social media reads: "The cause of the two high priority issues shown in the image has been identified and is currently underway."

“In addition, we are working to identify and fix other causes of the behavior-related issues related to roles, as well as a failure in the ‘Option Settings’.”

The patch will also "include some adjustments previously announced in the 'Future Adjustments' section of the patch notes, especially the fragment damage changes of the striking damage of the striking break."

The official also promises to make further changes based on feedback from the player community.

"In any case, it's obvious to me that the result is a disconnect between expectations and adjustment results from the player community. I understand that no matter what the community accuses me of this, it's not a critical issue, and it's not the time to worry about it. Our Battle and Balance Adjustment Team is studying all the feedback records of the community day and night and working to develop better future strategies and changes."

But maybe these changes came too late.According to IGN, many professional players have threatened to completely abandon the game due to balance issues.

"I've been optimistic about the game and its balance adjustment since the game was released, but now it feels enough, and we've obviously reached the limit. It's not like Iron Fist at all!"

"Even the slightest enhancement of the character, coupled with more designs based on posture change, makes the 55 open situation more, which is not the right direction. Some of the new moves are simply outrageous, with few coping methods. Compensating for the character's weaknesses and erasing their features through homogeneous adjustments is a lazy balance adjustment. It makes no sense to weaken the Oki mechanism but enhance the heat effect. Combo damage in the entire character lineup is too high. I do think side flashes have improved, but is this really important when there are moves with crazy tracking effects or judgment boxes? The damage of the fragments is still too high, and most 55 open strikes are basically unchanged. Abandoning strategic and adding more 55 open situations is not fun, and it deviates from the foundation of Iron Fist."

Other players described the update as "the worst patch in Iron Fist's history" or felt "very sad" when thinking about the future of the game.

On the Steam platform, due to these changes, recent reviews have dropped to "bad reviews".

One comment read: "No one really asked for these changes, and even new players have never asked for more offensive content in a game that is obviously lacking in defense options and is as easy as most Iron Fist games to win by pushing buttons." Another comment describes it as "one of the most disappointing versions of the series."
