Recently, Kinetic Games announced that the "Chronicle" update of the four-player psychological horror game "Drop" will be officially launched on June 24.

At the heart of the “Chronicle” update is the thriller appearance of sound evidence, a new supernatural type of evidence captured through a new recorder.This new mechanic will add new dimensions to gameplay, revealing subtle clues that may be overwhelmed by horror screams.The new rig offers three upgrade levels (T1, T2 and T3), unlocking deeper audio detection, and players will be able to record audio from ghost events, soul box responses, and parabolic microphone-detected audio.

Log overhaul

The Chronicle update will redefine the way ghost hunters collect evidence.The logs will be completely redesigned and the Photos tab will be replaced by the brand new Media tab.The tab will organize all the captured evidence into three sections – photos, videos and new recordings – providing a richer and more immersive investigative experience where players can record photos, visuals and new quirky audio evidence in one place.Investigators now need to fill up a whole unique book to complete a perfect survey, with new supernatural moments to capture – from EMF peaks to ghost interactions to a stunning glimpse of the alien form.

Redesigned evidence system

The Chronicles will also introduce improved media quality systems.The first evidence capture of any media type will be marked as “unique”, offering additional cash and XP rewards at the end of each contract.The same type of evidence captured later will be classified as "duplicates" (Duplicates), providing smaller rewards.The new system will also add rank rewards based on the equipment used and count all media captures into the reward magnification, so that every shot, sound and sighting will more significantly affect the player's final reward.
