Polish gaming company People Can Fly has canceled two projects and “shrinked” the team.

This afternoon, the company's CEO Sebastian Voichekovski issued a statement on LinkedIn saying it was a "hard decision" and attributed the shelves of the Project Gemini and Bifrost respectively to the issuer's "failed to provide us with a draft agreement for subsequent content" and the "lack of prospects" for the group's cash flow.

"Today we made a very difficult decision to suspend the development of the Gemini Plan and the Beefrost Plan - the announcement has been released to the market," Wojchekovsky wrote.

“The reason for the suspension of the ‘Gemini Program’ is that the publisher did not provide us with the ‘draft of the Publishing Agreement’ that covers the subsequent milestones of the project, and the publisher did not expressly express his willingness to continue or terminate the project.”

“The reasons for the suspension of the ‘Bifrost Program’ include, in addition to the above factors, analysis of the group’s cash flow – the results show that we lack the prospect of ensuring organizational resources and funds to continue to produce and publish the project.”

He added: "So, we have to do a major restructuring of the studio and reduce the team size, which is the most heartbreaking part. We are deeply regretful and sad about the development and sincerely thank everyone for their contributions so far."

Wojchekhovsky did not specify who the publisher he referred to was, but the studio has worked with several publishers, most recently including Square Enix, Krafton and Sony. The company is still developing Gears of War: Incident Day.

In December last year, People Can Fly announced its second round of layoffs in less than a year, and the layoffs affected "more than 120 people."The move was accompanied by the cancellation or reduction of multiple projects, and the studio attributed it to "external market pressure."
