This season was created by director Igarashi Hiro ("Cyberpunk: The Fringe Walker" and "SSSS. Gulite") and presented in a bold film and television style; the protagonist's design was written by Isaka No. 1 ("Promia" and "Cyberpunk: The Fringe Walker").The script team includes the return of Masahiko Otsuka (Tenyuan Breakthrough Red Lotus Spiral Rock and Promia) and Hugo Award winner Bartosz Sztybor.

"Cyberpunk: The Edge Walker 2" was jointly produced by CD PROJEKT RED and animation studio TRIGGER. It is currently under development and plans to log on to the Netflix platform in the future.
