Recently, foreign media WccfTech reported that Sony launched a copyright and trademark infringement lawsuit against Tencent, accusing Tencent of blindly following the slavish clone of Sony's Horizon series.

Last Friday, Sony filed a lawsuit in the U.S. federal court in California, accusing the game of "Origin of the Wild" with many similarities to the unique design elements of the Horizon series in terms of gameplay, story themes and artistic elements.

Sony pointed out that many media reporters also regarded "Origin of the Wild" as a copy of "Horizon", and some even called it "Horizon Zero Originality", which intensified Sony's concerns about Tencent's infringement.

Sony asked the court to rule that Tencent pays compensation (not publicly specified) and issue an injunction to prevent Tencent from infringing its intellectual property rights.The case was held in the Northern California Federal District Court and the case number is 3:25-cv-06275.
