EA's studio Baokai announced the "ultimate version" of "Plant vs. Zombies" last night - "Plant vs. Zombies: Replant Edition", which supports 4K resolution. It will be released on October 23 this year, priced at US$20, and will be available on PC (EA App, Epic, Steam), Switch, Switch 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

"Plant vs. Zombies: Replant Edition" has added local cooperation and PvP mode, two additional game modes - the Permanent Death Mode of Meat Dove and Cloudy Day mode that increases difficulty by limiting sunlight, plus the art gallery that has not released a concept image before.

Executive producer Jake Neri described the game as "the ultimate PvZ replica" and said it was Baokai's strategy, "not only retained the magic of the original work, but also gave it a sense of freshness, allowing it to live for more than 20 years."

When asked why the Replanted Edition is now released, Neri explained: "We've heard that you'll love the replica of this game. The timing is important. We just celebrated the 16th anniversary of PvZ, which may sound a little weird, but at Baokai, we're just so weird."
