Sega recently revealed important information about its new project of the fighting game "VR Warrior", confirming that this game will not introduce guest roles from other IPs.In an interview with Giant Bomb, producer Seiichi Yamada said that the primary goal of the development team is to build a complete and self-consistent VR Warrior universe while attracting new and old players through innovative elements.

When asked why he chose to restart after nearly twenty years of silence in the series, Yamada explained that this was the result of the right time, place and people.Following "VR Warrior 5 Ultimate Showdown", the Dragon Group Studio, which is famous for the "Dragon" series, has met the development conditions.He admitted that although players have long called for new works, they have not yet had all the elements needed for development until recently.

Yamada particularly emphasized that this work will strengthen the key difference in plot narrative.He pointed out that the works of previous dynasties lack solid plot and character background settings, which is exactly the direction of this focus of improvement."I am deeply aware that new projects must strengthen this aspect", and he is also committed to modernizing the series' iconic style to suit contemporary players.Although he is not sure how young players will evaluate the change, he is full of expectations for market feedback.
