Recently, a veteran BioWare developer Mark Darrah was interviewed by oil pipe owner MrMattyPlays. He revealed that EA repeatedly rejected BioWare's remake/reproduction proposal for "Dragon Age: Origin", which may even include plans for the second and third works of the series.

EA拒绝《龙腾世纪:起源》重制提案:不要送上门的钱

Mark Dara said: "I haven't made any proposals to EA now. To be honest, I don't know what to do to advance the series. I mean, I really think they should remake the first three works in the series. We have proposed a proposal to repackage the first three works retroactively into a trilogy. We want to call it the 'Hero Trilogy' because each has a legendary hero: Ferreden's hero, Kirkwo's champion, and the Judge. I think the first step is to put these three works first, maybe add "Dragon Age 4: The Guardian of Shadow" and re-release it after upgrading to see how the response is, and then decide on the follow-up plan."

Mark Dara said EA has never been willing to make a high-definition remake.Although they successfully launched Mass Effect: Legend Edition, that's because all the works in the series are developed based on Unreal Engine and are relatively easy to deal with."Dragon Age: Origin" uses BioWare's own Eclipse engine, "Dragon Age 2" uses the Lycium engine (Eclipse upgraded version), and "Dragon Age 3: Trial" is replaced with the Frost Engine.

"EA has always been against the HD remake. I really don't understand. They actually refused to 'the money delivered to the door'. It's so strange, but they seem to be like that, which is partly why. Another problem is that the Dragon Age remake is much more difficult than Mass Effect, and no one can say exactly how difficult it is. It may be a little bit harder, or it may be much harder."

"In the early stages of Dragon Age 4's development, we had an idea: first improve the tools of the Frost Engine, then find a powerful Mod production studio, support them, and pay for them to remake Dragon Age: Origins. We have proposed many solutions around the question of "Is there a way to regenerate Origins?"
