Legion Go Gen 2 handheld machine is too hot, Lenovo has to cancel some orders

Lenovo said that due to the demand exceeding expectations, some pre-orders for Legion Go Gen 2 handheld consoles had to be cancelled.Earlier this month, it was officially confirmed that Lenovo will be the first third-party company to obtain the same gaming system as ROG Xbox Ally.

The Lenovo Legion Go Gen 2 will be available next month (October), with an 8.8-inch OLED screen, 144Hz refresh rate, a removable handle, and an AMD Ryzen processor similar to the ROG Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X.

The Legion Go Gen 2 basic model is $1,099, and the top version costs $1,479, and is equipped with a stronger processor, 32GB of RAM and 2TB of storage.

According to an official post on the Legion Go Reddit page, Lenovo has begun canceling reservations for some customers because the inventory is not enough to meet demand.

"In fact, bookings for Legion Go Gen 2 have exceeded our expectations, resulting in unexpected extensions in delivery times. We are working closely with the global team to complete these orders as soon as possible. We sincerely thank the Legion fans for their support and hope that everyone will be patient and we will work hard to get the Legion Go Gen 2 to you."

On Friday, Lenovo updated the message again to confirm the cancellation of the order.

Lenovo official wrote: “After communicating with Lenovo Retail colleagues around the world, we want to share the latest news. The good news is that more products have been shipped to major retailers around the world, so you can expect improvements in the supply of retail stores and websites in the coming weeks.

However, we need to cancel some pre-orders placed directly on Lenovo's official website (Lenovo.com).We will not withhold customer payments because we cannot ship it in time.Once our online inventory is replenished, Lenovo official website (Lenovo.com) will display the latest inventory status and reopen the ordering service.
