EA announced that the company has signed a final acquisition agreement with an investment consortium composed of Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), Silver Lake and Affinity Partners, a subsidiary of Trump's son-in-law Kushner.Under the agreement, the consortium will acquire EA in all-cash, with the transaction estimated to have an estimated corporate value of approximately $55 billion.The consortium will acquire 100% of EA's shares, with PIF converting its existing 9.9% stake into part of the transaction.

The press release pointed out that all three investors have "deep industry experience, sufficient financial strength, and a global portfolio and network resources covering games, entertainment and sports, which will provide EA with unique opportunities in integrating virtual and realistic experiences, enhancing fan interactions, and expanding growth space."The transaction also set a record for the largest all-cash privatization acquisition in history.
