ESL Impact is a professional league called Counter-Strike 2, which announced it will suspend operations after the end of its eighth season in November.

“Despite the huge investment, ESL Impact has successfully achieved its mission of increasing the attention of the women’s Counter-Strike project, the current economic model is simply not sustainable,” the league said in a statement today.

“The investment in building a diverse and inclusive esports ecosystem remains the core value of EFG and we will continue to support the community. Given that the upcoming season is the last season in the current ESL Impact model, we would like to thank all the players, teams and fans for their investment and everything ESL Impact has achieved.”

At the same time, we call on other organizations and partners to come forward and invest resources in this community. We hope that more event organizers can help us protect our dreams and ensure that the enthusiasm and talent here will not dissipate but will be carried forward.”
