The recruitment announcement was published by comic writer and artist Kendra Wells on the Bluesky platform, which mentioned that the potential head of the company's gaming department will "develop and lead the Netflix Games' Generative AI strategy to assist in building a complete system from infrastructure to player-oriented capabilities" and "explore and evaluate opportunities to apply generative AI in our gaming portfolio and studios, whether for creating a new gaming experience or optimizing our workflow and development processes."

The job was released in September and is in Los Angeles, California and requires on-site work; thanks to the state's salary disclosure regulations, the salary range announced by the recruitment notice is $430,000 to $840,000.Earlier this year, Netflix fired some developers from Night School Studio, its "Wolf Run" developer, which may be paid far less than a million dollars.
