Baokai Studio has released the official launch promotional video of "Plants vs. Zombies: Remastered Edition", showing for the first time in depth the remastered version of this classic original that defined the tower defense genre.The trailer features a complete visual overhaul, new gameplay features, and a surprise cameo from one of the most famous characters in gaming history.

This new trailer highlights the new visual design of "Remastered Edition", which includes completely remastered high-definition graphics and modern animations, making the garden battle scene more dynamic on current-generation platforms.The video also confirmed that Valve’s classic character “Headhunter Zombie” will appear as a special guest character.

According to Baokai Studio, "Plants vs. Zombies: Remastered Edition" aims to restore the charm and strategic depth of the 2009 original, while adding a series of optimized content to take into account the needs of returning players and new players.Earlier this week, the studio also released an in-depth gameplay trailer that further showcased a number of new and returning game features.These include new game modes such as "Cloudy Mode" and "Rest in Peace Mode", as well as a series of updated mini-games that expand on the gameplay of the original game.

This remake also introduces a number of technical and gameplay optimizations, including supporting local cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes on the Nintendo Switch 2 platform through the GameShare function.

"Plants vs. Zombies: Remastered Edition" will be released on October 23 on PC and console platforms, covering Steam, EA App, Epic Games Store, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
