Popular independent game "Cambolic 2" PS4 version gets free PS5 upgrade

Another beloved PS4 game can be upgraded to the PS5 version for free, which surprises players.The popular indie platformer Cave 2 was first released in September 2020 and is now available for native run on PS5.Players who already have the PS4 version of the game can get the upgraded version for free.

For some reason, game developers Mossmouth and BlitWorks have neither announced nor even suggested that they would launch a PS5 version of Cave 2.Players stumbled upon this addition in the PlayStation store yesterday, so we are not sure how long this PS5 port has been available.

Currently, the PS5 trophy list for Cave 2 doesn't appear to be online, and there are early reports that the trophy doesn't pop up correctly.However, users who have tested the PS5 version have confirmed that there is a standalone trophy list that does not overlap or automatically unlock with the PS4 version's trophy list, but both lists look the same.

This leads us to think that the PS5 version of Cave 2 might not have been available on the PlayStation store so soon, but someone released it too early.

According to player feedback, the only feature of the PS5 version we can confirm so far is that Cave 2 can run at a frame rate of 120 frames per second on the PS5 console.
