Fan-made "CS" 1.6 remake will be available on Steam in 2025

Based on Valve's official origin engine SDK, the Counter-Strike 1.6 remake of "CS: Legacy" was built from the ground up by former developers of several "CSPromod" fan projects. It was recently announced that it will be released on Steam in 2025.

The development team released the trailer during the CS2 ESL Pro League Season 21 final.

According to the trailer description, the remake of this classic 1.6 version of Counter-Strike will be "built from scratch with 100% original code and game assets", and the development team also made a major rewrite of the Origin Engine's "renderers, shaders, and various systems."
