On March 20, developer Dragami Games announced that it will release a free update of "Chassaw Sweetheart RePOP" in April, adding a new mode "Nightmare Mode" to the game. Players can enter this mode after achieving a happy ending in the original mode or RePOP mode.

In "Nightmare Mode", the enemy will become stronger, and players can collect various items to awaken the protagonist Juliet's potential abilities. There are a total of eight awakening items to enhance Juliet's abilities. The effects include: increasing attack power, increasing attack speed, increasing movement speed, increasing chainsaw movement speed, accelerating QTE, increasing maximum ammunition capacity, etc. Among them, the awakening items that increase attack power and increase attack speed will be open at the beginning of Nightmare Mode, and the remaining props can be purchased in the in-game store in the mode.

In addition, after passing the 6th level of this mode, players can also obtain the legendary skill "Aura of Legend", which can make Juliet's chainsaw larger and expand its attack range.These awakened abilities can also be transferred to other modes (original mode, RePOP mode, and timing mode), with few exceptions, players can choose to turn their effects on or off from the menu option.
