In an interview, Reburn shared some new technical details from his upcoming futuristic sci-fi shooter La Quimera.According to the developers, the game is powered by Unreal Engine 4 and does not support ray tracing.

“We are very excited about the potential of DirectX ray tracing 1.2 and neural rendering. While La Quimera does not currently use real-time ray tracing technology as we prioritize achieving excellent performance on a variety of hardware, we do use ray tracing to improve visual quality during asset creation.”

The good news here is that it may work better because the game uses traditional rasterization technology.Reburn said they have created a custom solution for global (indirect) lighting instead of using real-time ray tracing. This allows them to achieve better performance, broader hardware compatibility and more efficient data storage while maintaining a higher level of vision.

Reburn also claims that La Quimera will support DLSS and FSR.However, this game does not support their latest versions. So, will we see DLSS 3 and FSR 3.0? If so, NVIDIA and AMD will have to test the game in order to approve it's support for DLSS 4 and FSR 4.0.Otherwise, the game will likely support DLSS 2 and FSR 2.0 when it is released.

La Quimera is a narrative-led first-person shooter game that will be released on April 25.As of now, the developers have not announced the PC configuration requirements for the game.

La Quimera feels like a strange mix of Crysis, Killzone and Metro series. The game was made by former Metro series developers.According to information on Steam, the game will also support online cooperation mode. So, you can play alone or play with up to two friends.
