Sony unveils new studio TeamLFG, which is developing an ambitious incubation project.

TeamLFG is the latest developer to join PlayStation Studios.Hermen Hulst, CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment Studios Business Group, said the studio “originated with Bungie but also brought together developers from across the industry to create an ambitious incubation project, and I’m very excited about it.”

Hulst said the new studio "is now fully formed and ready to debut to the world."

Headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, TeamLFG is composed of on-site and telecommunications staff from across the United States and Canada.The team members include experienced veterans - who have participated in the development of games such as "Fate", "Haven", "League of Legends", "Fortnite", "Robu Less" and "Rec Room" - and "Newcomers in the industry".

TeamLFG said in a group statement that its name means "Team Looking For Group" rather than the more common abbreviation that is usually associated with it.They said they were "craving on action-based gameplay, live gaming experience and a rich social virtual world".

We hope players will be excited as soon as they go online because teammates are already waiting for them online. We hope players can recognize familiar names and create myths and memes with these names."

TeamLFG's first game is described as "a team-based action game inspired by fighting games, platform jumping games, MOBA, life simulation games, and frog-type games."
