As a strong contender for the game of the year, Sandfall Interactive, the developer of "Light and Shadow: Expedition No. 33", recently announced that the game has no plans to launch a follow-up DLC.However, the studio said it is actively exploring the possibility of a range of future improvements.

These exploration directions mainly include three aspects:

Accessibility feature optimization: New operation options may be added, such as allowing players to perform continuous dodge or parry by long pressing the key, replacing the quick double-click operation, and considering introducing level minimap assisted navigation.

Localization support extension: localization support is planned for more languages, and the specific language list and schedule have not been finalized.

New game content: The specific form of the new content is still under planning, which may involve additional content (such as additional plots or settings) to the game world view, or new game modes such as "Boss Rush" and "Boss Rematch".

Sandfall Interactive stressed that the above improvements are currently in the exploration stage and there is no specific implementation schedule or final confirmed localized language list, but assure players that these contents have been included in the focus.

It is worth noting that the game has recently added some new features through updates, including allowing players to challenge the hidden boss again, and the "Challenge Modifier" enabled from Chapter 3 of the game.These modifiers can provide high-difficulty options such as limiting player damage output and greatly increasing enemy health, enriching the game experience.
