NEW YORK, NY – June 16, 2025 – Today, 2K and Gearbox Software announced that Borderlands 4 are now on pre-orders.A highly acclaimed and commercially successful series, Borderlands creates a whole new genre.Borderlands 4 will be released worldwide on September 12, 2025 via PlayStation®5 (PS5®), Xbox Series X|S, and Steam and Epic Games Store on PC.Additionally, the game will be available for Nintendo Switch 2 later in 2025.

Players will play as one of four new secret hunters, each with unique skills combined with billions of weapons to provide players with more ways to smash, hit and destroy enemies.In the largest Borderlands world to date, a new movement mechanism will help players explore the vast planet of Kylos against the Tyrant Venerable Time and his Order Soldier.

In addition, players can also look forward to a series of free and paid follow-ups after Borderlands 4 releases so they can continue their adventures on the planet of Kylos.Depending on the content pack that players have, the paid DLC may include two brand new secret hunters, new areas of Planet Kylos, new story missions, side missions, challenges, enemies, and more.More details will be announced in the future.
