TSMC responds to US export control: overall controllable

Today (December 4), the American Industry and Security Agency (BIS) officially revised the "Export Management Regulations" (EAR), adding 140 Chinese semiconductor industries to the "entity list".

According to the United States, BIS is implementing a number of regulatory measures, including but not limited to: new controls on semiconductor manufacturing equipment required to produce advanced node integrated circuits (IC);Control; implement new controls on high bandwidth memory (HBM).

Regarding such measures, TSMC responded that the company, as a law -abiding company, has always been committed to following all applicable laws and regulations, including applicable export control regulations.We currently expect that the possible financial impact of related events on TSMC is still in a controllable scope.
