Microsoft has announced plans to close the Xbox avatar editor application (Xbox Avatar Editor).

Starting on January 9, 2025, the application will no longer be provided on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Windows devices.

Microsoft said in the answer to common questions that "because of low participation," the company chose to close the application.

"This means that players will no longer use the XBOX host or the Xbox avatar editor application on the PC, including their Xbox avatars and any avatar items purchased."

The XBOX avatar purchases from November 1st, 2023 to January 9, 2025 will be refunded after the application is closed.
