Brief introduction
Distant Horizons adds simplified terrain in addition to Minecraft's default visual distance to improve performance and allows farther drawing distance.
Now you can appreciate the scenery you see on the top of the mountain!
This photo was taken when the game rendering distance is 12 and the module rendering distance is 512

Notice!This is important!
The version supports numbers is strict!
If a version represents MC 1.18.1, then it will not be able to run on 1.18.2!
In addition: This module officially enters the beta testing phase at 2024.11.17. Even if it is more stable than the Alpha phase, it may still cause errors such as collapse.
Long -term use has certain risks. If you have any questions, you can go to the new topic of the Gitlab project.
FAQ
Q: Forge or Fabric?
A: MC 1.20.6 or above -Neoforge and Fabric are both in the same jar file.
MC 1.20.4 and below -FORGE and Fabric are both in the same jar file.
Q: Do you support light and shadow?
A: Yes, but limited to some light and shadow.
Optifine: Distant Horizons parts supports the light and shadow rendered forward.
IRIS (and equivalent transplantation): Distant Horizons 2.1.0+ only supports Iris 1.7+, 2.2.0+ only supports IRIS 1.7.5+, and only supports light and shadow that is specially adapted for DISTANT HORIZONS.
Distant Horizons 2.0 and earlier versions do not support IRIS.

Q: Is this suitable for the structure created by players?
A: Yes.
Q: Wait a minute?I thought this mod is called LOD?
A: It was once called LOD, but it was renamed "Distant Horizons" when the Alpha 1.5 was updated. We think this new name is easy to understand.
Q: Is this MOD in Alpha or Beta?
A: Still in the beta testing stage (after 2024.11.17).Because CurSeForge will hide modules without Beta or Release files, we have released a 1.5 version with Beta logo, although it still belongs to the BETA stage.
Q: Do you support multiplayer games?
A: Yes.However, this is a client module, so you have to explore enough blocks to render them on the client.
Q: Will it be transplanted to 1.7.10 or 1.12.2?
A: It should not work. The Mixin (as far as I know) this module is only on FORGE 1.14+.(Yes, I know that there is a module that provides Mixin in 1.12, but only I have got pain after trying, so I will not try to use it)
Q: Is it compatible with other modules?
A: This module does not change the actual rendering of MINECRAFT, so the compatibility of most modules should not be a problem. In addition to Cubic Chunks, it modified the block working method.
Q: What did you optimize?
A: When your game has a very large rendering distance, your frame number will be very low.The working principle of this module is to use your CPU (so, this module requires quite high CPUs of your device, at least 20% to 30% of the CPU will be occupied)When enjoying the vision, the number of frames will not fall into the bottom of the valley.
