Module compatibility
1.0.5 Previous version:
MOD and Biomes O'Pinder 1.2.1 are compatible (not tested other versions), and cover certain modules such as mud and flow sand.
After 1.0.5:
MOD is compatible with Biomes O'Pinder 2.1.0 (not tested other versions), and covers the generation of some blocks such as mud and flowing sand.
Warning: If BOP is installed, the type of BOP must be used, otherwise the generation of quicksand will not work properly.
Flow sand nature
At present, there are 4 main parameters that can control the nature of any type of quicksand:
Consistency
Refers to the speed of falling into the quicksand.The more consistency (sticky), the slower the sinking speed.
For example: Very sticky -the sinking speed is very slow.
Viscosity
Refers to the speed of moving in the quicksand.The higher the viscosity, the slower the movement speed.
For example: Very high -movement speed is very slow.
suction
Refers to the difficulty of using the escape tool.The greater the suction, the harder it is to break free.
When the suction power is greater than the "average", it will "offset" the speed of break free, which causes you to use the tools to break free.
For example: very strong -suction power is very large.
Solid
Whether it can stand on the quicksand.
Yes: It can almost stand on the fringe and not fall into it (the selusive sand like Moor is not counted).Almost refers to WAX, Sinking Clay.
Part: can stand on the surface, but slowly fall.
No: Can't stand on the surface, it will cause players to fall into (quicksand) immediately.
Survival skills
In order to cope with the dangers brought by quicksand, there are some survival skills:
If you are caught in the quicksand but not too deep (the depth or shallow of the knee), you can break away.but!When you do this in some quicksand, you will fall quickly.
You can continue to click the sneak keys to force yourself to fall faster.
All the items or wearing items in the item bar will increase your weight and speed up the sinking speed.If you want to travel through quicksand, make sure not to bring too many things.(This feature is only effective in 1.0.8 and above)
Boots and leg protection are good for protecting you, but when you are struggling in the quagmire, you may become more cake.Once the boots are sinking into the flow sand, most types will immediately lock you in the appropriate position.
Do not try to dig out the Liu Sand, which is almost futile.If you are close to a solid ground (referring to the exaggeration of the flowing sand), you can try to dig out the flowing sand; if the "viscosity" is not too strong, you can try to enter the gap in the excavated.
If you are deeper than your knees, you can try to struggle by clicking the "jump" button, but in some types of quicksand, you will only fall into the ground faster.If you have been doing this and lucky, then you can break away.
If you are trapped into the quicksand, please don't struggle (refer to the corner of the perspective, and try to move).Any struggle for you will make you deeper.(In some stream sand, the struggle will fall quickly) Keep calm. If you are in a multiplayer game, please try to help other players, they can use "hook" or "rope" to rescue you.If you have ropes or hooks in your item bar, use it immediately.Don't waste time, because you are not allowed to stay for too long in some quicksand.Remember, your hooks and ropes have a certain durability, so your item bar should not only prepare 1/root.
Test the ground in front of you with a stick.Be sure to carry it with you to prevent you from falling into some harmless quicksand. Of course, you have to tap the ground in front of you from time to time when walking.The long stick may waste you for a few seconds, but this may save a lot of time to break away from the flow of the sand.
You can use life jackets, which can provide you with extra buoyancy in some quicksand, but please note that life jackets cannot guarantee your safety in some quicksand.
