Fairgame$ - a heist shooting game created by Jed Raymond's new studio Haven - is said to have been postponed.

Apart from knowing that this online service game was originally scheduled to be launched later this year and is being developed for PC and PS5 platforms, we don't know much about it.But Giant Bomb's Jeff Grub revealed in the Game Mess Decides podcast that the release date of the game has been postponed to 2026.

爆料称索尼在线服务游戏《Fairgame$》延期到明年发售

Grub did not explain why the project was lagging behind, but said it was unlikely to debut “this year.”

“There won’t be Fairgame$ this year,” Grub said. “Fairgame$ has been postponed to 2026 as far as I know.”

In February 2022, Sony said it plans to launch more than 10 new online service games in the next few years.A month later, Jim Ryan, then-Sony executive, said he believed online service games were a key part of the future of the gaming industry and was confident in PlayStation's advancement in the online service field.

However, the company has been shrinking the plan since then, with multiple proposed projects being cancelled, with two last month alone, believed to be from Bend, a developer of "Never Again" and the other from Bluepoint.

Although Sony's 5V5 science fiction shooter "Star Ming Special Attack" has been developed for eight years, it was launched on PC and PS5 platforms last year, due to its dull initial performance and poor sales, it was offline in just two weeks after it was launched.

Sony has also canceled many other online service games, including a collaborative game from the London Studio, which was also closed last year.In 2023, Naughty Dog canceled its independent multiplayer game set under the world view of "The Last Survivor", Firespite's online service "Current Chariot" project and Insomniac's cooperative online service game "Spider-Man: TheGreat Web is also cancelled.

Sony has been contacted by the media for comment.
