EA has officially added microtransactions to the Alpha version of its new skateboarding live service, Skate.Within the update sent to players, EA revealed “epic game updates” and other “exciting” game updates.

In the update sent to players by the development studio FullCircle, the official mentioned that part of the update is the micro-transaction function.The in-game currency is called "SanVan Bucks", which players can use to purchase various appearance items.According to Full Circle, this feature is added to ensure players have a “positive experience when purchasing items from the Skate store.”

“To ensure we achieve these goals in the Early Access phase, we have enabled the option of buying and using virtual currencies (SanVan Bucks) in the ongoing closed Alpha test. Thank you very much for your feedback, which will provide a good experience for Early Access releases.”

Since the game is still in beta, it is mentioned that account progress may be reset from time to time and will be reset completely before Early Access is released.

The real-time service Skate is scheduled to be released sometime in 2025.By then, the game will be released for free on PC and consoles.It also has the possibility of logging into mobile platforms.
