Blizzard confirms there is no Blizzard Carnival again this year, returning in September 2026

Blizzard officially announced that there will be no BlizzCon event this year again, but it will return from September 12 to 13, 2026.

Blizzard released a statement on the official website of Blizzard Carnival:

“We have made great strides since the first event held in 2005. Over the past 20 years, since the founding of BlizzCon, it has inspired us to innovate continuously, drive the boundaries of creativity and bring about a moment of unforgettable life. It is important to hold an event worthy of our community.

For 2026, in addition to BlizzCon’s traditional projects such as opening ceremony, in-depth symposiums, Darkmoon Circus, friendly competitions, hand-held trials, etc., our goal is to significantly improve the level of this iconic celebration and create an unforgettable experience for all participants.

The way we create this event is like we develop the game – with a deep commitment to our players, respect your connection to our universe, and celebrate the powerful bonds formed through shared adventures.”

This is also the 7th time that Blizzard canceled the offline Blizzard Carnival. Blizzard canceled the event in 2006, 2012, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2024.The last time the Blizzard Carnival was held in 2023.

Last April, Blizzard announced that the 2024 Blizzard Carnival would not be held, and said it would "bring back to Blizzard Carnival in the next few years."
