According to the latest reports, Chinese gaming giant Tencent may be one of the potential supporters of the new project. This new project will control some of the big IPs including Ubisoft's signature series "Assassin's Creed".

Bloomberg quoted people familiar with the matter as saying that Ubisoft has requested to submit bid intentions by the end of this month.

Ubisoft did not comment in an interview, but asked Bloomberg to refer to its latest financial report.Last month, Bloomberg first reported on the potential new entity, saying it would allow the French giant to focus more on core IP, such as Assassin's Creed.

Currently, the Guillemot family (the founder of Ubisoft) holds 14% of Ubisoft shares, while Tencent holds 9.99% of the shares.

Last October, Bloomberg reported that Tencent and the Guillemot family had been discussing with consultants how to stabilize Ubisoft because Ubisoft's market value has shrunk by more than half in the past year.At that time, the discussions between the two sides included the option of joining forces to privatize Ubisoft, but the negotiations were still in their early stages.
