Ubisoft recently announced its latest AI research project, Teammates, with a clear goal. It can provide a smart AI assistant in the game, or allow NPCs to understand player instructions, actions and non-preset conversations, etc. Stay tuned.

· It is reported that the purpose of Ubisoft's new research project is to "explore how new technologies can improve players' gaming experience." In fact, as early as March 2024, Ubisoft announced a research project called "NEO NPC" with the purpose of creating a game that can have real-time conversations with players instead of preset conversations. This new plan may be regarded as an upgrade plan for "NEO NPC".

· Ubisoft also demonstrated the preliminary results of its research, providing an AI assistant named Jaspar in the game, which can remind players of enemies or important items at any time, explain the story plot, change game settings at any time, pause the game and other functions. The two AI-added NPCs, Sofia and Pablo, listen to the player's voice instructions in real time and have smooth conversations, making the game experience more realistic.
