Today (November 19), Id Software released update 3 of "Doom: Dark Ages", which restructures the arena mode and brings long-awaited campaign improvements.The most core update is the "Tear Hall 2.0" mode - this is a structured expanded version of the training ground, including independent preset scenes, and supports customized encounters, and can also be shared with other players through an exclusive password.

Players can now customize up to five rounds, each with a unique combination of demons and up to ten refresh waves, while also taking advantage of a new time limit feature.Each round will generate a unique passcode, allowing players to share their configurations with others - this feature is currently in beta.The game also adds new encounter difficulty presets: Medium, Challenging, and Sadistic.These presets can be combined with any difficulty level.The developers also plan to regularly filter out the best player-customized encounters through dynamically adjustable parameters and add them directly to the game, without the need for client updates.

Additionally, this update adds five new tracks to the jukebox.The gameplay experience has also been enhanced: an icon will appear above the heads of the last remaining enemies in each round; more line-of-sight blockers have been added to all arenas.The end-of-level overview will also show two new tabs: Difficulty and Arena Settings.The difficulty options include the settings used in the Tear Hall process, while the arena settings will detail the total number of demons killed, and separate tabs for each type of demons killed (cannon fodder, heavy, and super heavy).

In addition to Teardown 2.0 mode, Edge of Death is now an adjustable setting in the difficulty tab, and keybindings have been added to the controls - players can now switch between active shield runes and melee weapons during gameplay.

This update is now live on all platforms.
